My name is Juantonia Hill, but I am affectionately known by my middle name, Keshia. I've been a part of Southfield Public Schools since 1998 in varied capacities. I now have the privilege of working with and for you as the districts K-5 math coach. I am whole-heartedly committed to building capacity in my level of expertise, and providing you the support that you need. My reputation of excelling above and beyond will only continue as we work together.
I am a proud graduate of Cass Technical High School, Michigan State University, and University of Detroit Mercy. My certification is K-8, with a focus of mathematics. I am a certified instructional coach through the State of Michigan, and my passion is seeing children soar beyond the restrictions of statistics. This position encompasses a myriad of responsibilities, which include but is not limited to: Making sure each teacher has the resources available to teach effectively in their math class; Providing accessibility to the Southfield Public Schools K-5 math curriculum; Ensuring that each teacher can effectively use the resources that are available; Provide accessibility to curriculum for project based learning; Assisting in making sure we have a common flow of curriculum throughout the district within each grade level; Assist administration in whatever capacity that strengthens the math curriculum in each building; provide professional development for teachers to continue to build capacity; assist the Division of Instruction in whatever capacity aids our district in meeting goals; and serve our Superintendent and Associate Superintendent in projects that benefit our school district.
